This board is subject to the provisions of the Open Meetings Act of Georgia and the Open Records Act of Georgia.įunction of the Governing Board. Its governing board and board of directors consists of eleven members: The superintendents of the seven school districts who have joined in the intergovernmental agreement, a representative from each of the three sites of the Mountain Education Charter High School to be chosen from an alumni or active community support of the school, and a representative of the Communities in Schools of North Georgia/Family Connections Collaborative. MECHS is incorporated as a non-profit corporation pursuant to Georgia Law.
